Birthdays with cake

Birthday do-over! When I finally reached Missoula after a 36-hour travel fiasco, this delicious chocolate-raspberry cake was waiting for me, along with a quiche for breakfast. Thank you Raquel, for making my birthday wish come true! You’ve provided many cakes (and quiches!) over the years – homemade when we were together, delivered when we were not – all unique gestures of love and generosity. Birthdays require cake!
