Colorado #6: Valentines and birthdays

Handmade valentines and chocolates are going on my list of small gestures that bring big joy; this touched my heart. I arrived February 14 and stayed through the holiday weekend. On Saturday we celebrated Fifi’s birthday with dinner and a ridiculous movie. On Sunday I finally experienced the brunch at the legendary Boulderado, followed by a family trip to Dragontree Spa for foot baths and neck massages. On Monday I tried a pilates reformer class for the first time, because that’s the sort of wild idea that occurs to middle-aged women drinking martinis. On Tuesday evening Leah and Seppi generously hosted a dinner at Zucca for Stella’s eighteenth birthday, with four of her close friends. The weather ranged from cold to warm to windy, but I got a few good runs in. I love this family, this place, and our little adventures.
