Montana family visit

We hiked behind the house at dawn, then took refuge from the wildfire smoke and daytime heat. Drove with Dad to his favorite day-hiking spot in Idaho and bushwhacked through the overgrown trail. Waded across ice-cold streams and a mud bog with almost-bare feet. Scared a bear up a tree. Enjoyed Raquel’s famous quiche and Dad’s paella. Dined at Lochsa Lodge and Lolo Peak Brewery. Snuggled on the couch with Charlie the King Charles for traditional family New York Times Crossword evenings. Celebrated Marcel’s birthday with homemade cake, and sent Tam and Cam off to their new life in San Antonio. Considering how much time I spent lounging and napping, this seems like a lot!
