Smoked out! My hiking and stargazing ambitions were thwarted. That’s OK, time with the parents is always the main thing – and I got to catch up on sleeping and lounging. We made a good attempt at a hike the first day, but only accomplished a mountain drive and huckleberry ice cream at Lochsa Lodge. On the last day, the air cleared enough for a pleasant walk along O’Brien Creek. Otherwise we mostly stayed inside, did a bunch of NYT crosswords, watched a little TV and enjoyed Raquel’s home cooking. ❤️
