Souvenirs that spark joy

I hate cheap tourist tchotchkes. I love unique finds that will decorate my life or serve a purpose. After my talk at the Privacy Symposium I had a few hours to speedwalk through Venice. These ceramic whales called to me from a tiny storefront on a less-traveled side-street. I kept walking, then turned back and purchased the pair – plus a red heart ornament – at Ceramiche Biasin Lucia. On the same walk I picked up some handmade notecards at Il Papiro and limoncello-filled chocolates at Nino & Friends. No regrets!
